Regal design, dramatic detail, plush seating and sculptured splendor make the theatre a truly majestic place. The Madame Walker Theatre contains one of the few remaining African Art Deco motifs in the country. The interior ornamentation includes 150 original colors hand-applied during restoration, sphinx statuary, cubist-inspired
African masks, 20-foot spears and brass embellishments.

The Madame Walker Theatre, where painstaking restoration and preservation have returned the building to its original elegance, is the cornerstone of the building. It is perfect for pageants, musicals, concerts, lecturers, auditions and rehearsals, motion picture and video screenings, ceremonial awards presentations and other events that require elegant staging.
